The Northern Land Council is focused on regional empowerment and strong governance to deliver for our seven regions. We're seeking a culturally aware Liaison Officer to join our Regional Operations team. In this key role, you’ll work alongside Traditional Owners and the Department of Defence to implement and support cultural, environmental, and economic outcomes across the Bradshaw Field Training Area (BFTA), located 600km’s south of Darwin.
About the Role:
The Bradshaw Liaison Officer will work collaboratively and effectively with Traditional Owners (TOs) and the Australian Government Department of Defence (DOD) in the implementation and monitoring of the Bradshaw Partnering Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA). This position will facilitate the engagement of (TOs) to participate in cultural maintenance, environmental protection, business, training and employment activities across the Bradshaw Field Training Area (BFTA). This position will be the key liaison point between the (DOD), the local Aboriginal community and the broader community as a whole.
What you will bring:
You’ll have proven previous experience working collaboratively with TOs, Government agencies, and stakeholders to support cultural and environmental outcomes. You’re confident advising on Aboriginal business participation and facilitating capacity-building opportunities under an ILUA. With strong communication and coordination skills, you can effectively manage compliance, represent the NLC in committees, and provide timely advice on regional issues—all while adhering to organisational policies, procedures and values.

We offer:
A base salary of $102,674 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
